THIS MONTH: MONDAY GETS GREEN

01 Apr THIS MONTH: MONDAY GETS GREEN

We live in a world that is full of debates. One side verses the other, both with differing and compelling arguments tied to their opinions and sources of facts. Some debates are non-consequential and might even be fun-spirited, while others carry more impact. And, when it comes to the environment, we think this is just that—a monumental, huge, massive debate with profound significance. Is global warming real or not? Are greenhouse gases increasing our temperatures and changing our weather patterns? Are coral reefs really dying and why does it matter if they do? Don’t all living things adapt? And even though 97% of the scientific studies show that there is an abundance of evidence of global warming resulting from our own actions, the debate continues. So, this month, we are going to take a different angle on this debate. Why? Because we don’t think this is a scientific issue, rather we think it is a human issue and that the facts point to our many poor choices and actions. So, let’s ask some bigger questions such as: Does anyone think that throwing a plastic bottle in the ocean is a good thing? Then why don’t we recycle all of them? Does anyone think that wasting water is a good thing? Then why do we waste even a drop of it? The environment doesn’t ruin itself, we do. So, this month, let’s focus our debate on what more we can do to take responsibility for our choices, because it’s time to show Mother Nature a lot more love. Being green matters.
